Step away from the busyness of everyday life and spend a summer morning immersed in the beauty of Cherry Hill Blooms Flower Farm.
Hosted by flower farmer Lisa Drew and culinary expert Dana Shortt, Garden to Gourmet is a hands-on experience where you'll wander through rows of seasonal blooms, discover the art of creating beautiful floral arrangements, and learn creative ways to bring edible flowers from the garden to your table.
Your morning begins with refreshing handcrafted mocktails and buttery shortbread before strolling through the flower fields with Lisa. Along the way, you'll learn how to harvest and condition flowers, extend their vase life, and select the perfect stems for a stunning hand-tied bouquet. You'll then create your own arrangement in a keepsake vase to enjoy at home.
Next, Dana will introduce you to the colourful world of edible flowers and show you how they can transform everyday dishes into something truly memorable.
Together, you'll learn how to:
- Create beautiful crushed edible flower rims for cocktails and mocktails and create homemade simple syrups
- Prepare vibrant summer rolls featuring edible blooms
- Toss a fresh mixed green salad with peppery nasturtiums
- Create a creamy goat cheese appetizer with delicate borage flowers
- Discover simple ways to garnish and entertain with edible flowers throughout the season
After the workshop, take time to wander the gardens, visit the friendly goats and sheep, and soak in the peaceful beauty of the countryside.
